Classification & Labelling Notification - Tuesday, July 13, 2010

The new European legislation on dangerous substances also includes the obligation for each manufacturer or importer of chemicals to notify the substances which meet the following criteria before 3 January 2011:

- all substances subject to registration with deadline after 2010
- all polymers classified as dangerous according to CLP
- all substances classified as dangerous according to CLP (even if import or production is less than 1 ton)

BIG Kaleidos 2009 - Tuesday, October 13, 2009
The new BIG database has seen the light. BIG Kaleidos stands for multifocal view on the BIG data. The database has been developed in cooperation with the fire fighters in order to make it even more user-friendly. About 250 properties are included per substance or mixture and extra functionalities were created. Such as the possibility to set your own search criteria, simultaneous consultations of the data,… . On BIG Kaleidos also the guidelines of the Emergency Guidebook (ERG) were included and for the first time ever: data for PID measurement. BIG DVD 2009 - Monday, June 01, 2009

New update of BIG database 2009 available now.

Significant changes:

  • Update per substance of the exposure limits e.g. TRGS900 (Germany), TLV (USA) 2009 
  • Amendment of substances enumerated in Annex I in accordance with 30th and 31st ATP of Directive 67/548/EEC
  • Transport regulations (ADR,RID,ADNR,IMDG,IATA,UNO)
